While West Jefferson may not technically be a part of the MountainWise community, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress they’ve made with their streetscape project. By making their main street more friendly for pedestrians and visitors, West Jefferson has vastly improved the livelihood of their small town, earning them a 2013 North Carolina Small Town Main Street Award. It’s changes like these that we hope will begin to take place across our region. Check out the video below to learn more:
